A Bit About Me
You guys, I love performing. Whether I’m digging into text or lyrics, perfecting a musical phrase, or mastering a dialect, I’m in my happy place. You might say I’m a joyous, goober of a human, and I would have to agree. I try and being that energy with me to rehearsals, and to my characters (where appropriate of course).
I currently reside in swampy, but surprisingly quirky, Orlando Florida, and primarily work in Central Florida (although I’m open to travel!). I’ve had the great pleasure to work at such lovely theaters as The Studio Theatre at Tierra del Sol, Winter Park Playhouse, Theater West End, Orlando Repertory Theatre, Mad Cow Theatre, and the Athens Theatre.
I’m a singer, and I studied classically at Mercer University (where I received my B.A. in Music and Theater). I consider myself a chirpy mezzo-soprano. I’ve got a high C, but generally prefer a B of Bb, and primarily save them for special occasions (like the end of an act). Post-University I’ve adopted mixing, belting, and singing in whatever style you put in front of me. I’ve worked on Country, Pop-Punk, Jazz Standards, and Musical Theater from Sondheim to Rodgers and Hammerstein.
I’m a mover, not a dancer (yet), but I love physical storytelling, and comedy. I studied and certified in four areas of stage combat in college, which instilled in me a respect and love for specificity in physicality.
Like most areas in my life, I’m all about trying new things, and I love a challenge.

Monica is a fabulous performer with a glorious voice.
